Help and instructions
Grid points can be selected using several methods. Multiple grid points can be selected within a single session:
- Pan and zoom to the area of interest.
- The Lat/Lon will be displayed when the cursor is placed over a grid point.
- Select a grid point using the cursor by clicking on the grid point. The selected grid point will turn yellow and be encircled.
- Using the search button allows points to be selected by entering either:
- Lat/ Lon coordinates in decimal format. These can be directly entered in the search box.
- The name of the location e.g. Bay of Bengal. A marker will indicate the area on the map. Click on the marker (if multiple markers appear select the desired location marker).
- Grid points can be deselected by clicking on the grid point not required.
- An area of grid points can be selected using the rectangle tool and clicking and dragging the cursor around the required area. Points within the area can be deselected by clicking grid points not required.
- Your grid point selections appear on the right-hand side of the dashboard. To deselect a grid point, click on the cross to the left of the grid point descriptor (expressed in Lat/Lon).
